Cheap Holidays in Phuket

Phuket is a lively and exciting island. The interior of the island is coated in dense tropical forest, mountain streams wind through the forest cascading over cliffs before making their way to the sea. The island is renowned as a world class tourist destination within Thailand and it has plenty to offer visitors. Whether you are looking for a family holiday, a romantic getaway or a holiday with friends, Phuket is the destination for you.

About the Phuket

Phuket is the largest of the Thai islands and is connected to the mainland by the Sarasin Bridge. It lies off the west coast of Thailand in the warm waters of the Andaman Sea and is a beautiful and varied island. Whether you enjoy the bustling beach resorts, which are lined with bars, or quiet beaches away from the crowds, this is the place to come. There is accommodation to suit all budgets from all inclusive luxury resorts to hotels and beach bungalows.

The beaches of Kata, Patong and Surin are some of the most famous in Phuket and all of them lie on the west coast of the island. Each of the beaches has its own unique characteristic from the party resort of Patong to the family atmosphere of Kata. Phuket may be one of the oldest tourist destinations in Thailand, but it still remains one of the best.

Phuket Holiday Attractions

Come and enjoy all that Phuket has to offer from water sports in the clear waters, snorkelling and diving to beach activities like volleyball and football. In the busy resorts there is always something for you to do. Take a trip out on a dive boat for your chance to see great marine life like turtles and maybe even a whale shark. Or enjoy a trip to nearby islands like Ko Phi Phi which is where the film “The Beach” was filmed.

Phuket Weather

The weather in Phuket is warm year round although the best time of year to visit is between November and February. During the wet season of June to October a lot of the resorts close down and the sea can be pretty rough. The hottest time of year is the month of April and May when humidity is extremely high and the sun beats down relentlessly.
